The problem is caused by other programs doing a lot of activity or using a lot of CPU or memory or performing a lot of disk i/o while WXtoImg is recording. However it is best to minimise the occurrance of these splits in the first place. Under Options, enable Resync which will correct most of these problems. This may occur in just one place or in multiple places in the image. The image looks as though it has been cut horizontally and the upper or lower portion shifted left or right. Why is the image split (sometimes referred to as sync loss)? Follow the instructions carefully in the Required Calibration. Ensure that you have used the speaker (and not line) output from the receiver.

If this fails to eliminate the problem you may need to install or re-install the latest drivers for your soundcard.Įnsure that the audio cable from the receiver is attached to the soundcard Line 1 input. Try all soundcard values until you find one that works. Click OK and enter record mode again to test.

Open Record Options in the Options menu, and change the soundcard (even if your PC only has one soundcard you may need to change this for recording to work). Why do I get "Error: waveInOpen failed!" when WXtoImg tries to record? Also see the Slant Correction section in this manual. Information on adjusting the sampling frequency can be found in the Required Calibration. You need to adjust the sampling frequency. Network and weather station problems fixed. Why do I get a message "Warning: couldn't find telemetry data" when WXtoImg displays an image?.Still clear but storm clouds out to sea in both directions it's only a matter of time :-( Target still rising at 1140 UT no sign of the top yet. At least youįisrt images of the night showed greater than expected increase in brightness so looks like high mag event. Would crop the image severely so thought it best if I left them for you guys just un-touched.

These images have a shift right and up compared to all the other images. These images are fine but I think need to be processed seperately? There is a gap of images numberedĠ95 to 104, lost the autoguider and it re-captured in a different framing i.e. _b images 030 to 108 second and biggest batch for the night.

Did one hour to start with to get some data in the can and have switched to 092. Last image has an airmass of about 3 but is obviousįantastic seeing tonight, images are much improved on last night. Just managed to get a few images before the target set. MB10311.jpg image this is from tonight and is much sharper Observers: Guy Thornley, David Moorhouse, Michelle Knowler This means the data does span a considerable amount of time, even if it is at sporadic intervals. On the other hand, Michelle was on-site and taking images as early as 0630 UT. The worst images have already been removed. The seeing is also very poor, which is not helping image quality. Unfortunately we are right on the edge, and it could go either way at any time during the night. There is some high cloud tied to a very slowly moving weather system. (We were doing some camera tests for a while.)Ĭonditions tonight are very marginal.

Note there is a break in the middle of this run, but all the images are uploaded in the same zip file because nothing was changed, and the telescope was not moved. Target is still somewhat faint. Not doing an all night run because the target is days away from peak.
